What is light therapy?Light therapy is the application of light energy for therapeutic benefits. It is a proven technology that has been used in clinics for rehabilitation and aesthetic applications for over 35 years.
Are there any harmful side effects?There are no known harmful side effects of light therapy. Thousands of scientific studies have proven this technology to be a safe and highly effective way to treat a variety of conditions.
Can I use my normal creams and lotions?Yes, however, Tända light therapy treatments should be applied to clean dry skin, only the specially formulated Tända Pre-treatment topicals should be used before the light therapy treatments. After the light treatments you may use all of your normal moisturizers and lotions.
Do I have to use the Tända Pre-Treatment topicals to see results?All of the product claims are based on using the complete system. Tända Pre-treatment topicals have been specially formulated with proprietary "index-matching" properties have a high degree of transparency and are designed to be free of the light reflecting properties to optimize delivery of the light. Optimal results are achieved when the complete system is used.
How long do the Tända light therapy treatment heads last?The Tända Prestige light therapy treatment heads last for 300 hours which is the equivalent of 6,000 three-minute cycles. The Tända Professional light therapy treatment heads last for 500 hours which is the equivalent of 10,000 three-minute cycles.
Some manufacturers claim that their laser or light device can treat through clothing, is this true?No. Laser and light devices cannot penetrate clothing sufficiently to provide an effective treatment.
Will the LEDs used by the Tända light therapy treatment heads burn my skin?No. Under normal operating circumstances, the temperature remains at a comfortable level. If the temperature exceeds this level, a temperature sensor in the device terminates the treatment cycle
Is there any UV danger when using Tända light therapy?No. The Tända light therapy treatment heads do not use UV light. The Tända Acne Solution uses 414nm blue LED light, the Tända Anti-Aging Solution uses 660nm red light, and the Tända Pain Solution uses 870nm infrared light, all of which are not UV wavelengths.
Do I have to wear the goggles?The goggles have been provided for your convenience and comfort as some people find the light bright. Company sponsored testing showed that, when used as directed, the device did not pose risk of damage to the eyes.
How long should a charge last?A fully charged battery will provide approximately 8-10, three-minute cycles, a total of 24-30 minutes.
Can I take my Tända light therapy device with me when I travel?Yes, the Tända light therapy device's light weight design and compact form make traveling easy. The Tända light therapy device also features a dual 110-220V transformer and a plug converter so you can use the device all over the world.
Are Tända light therapy devices only for individual use?The benefit of the Tända light therapy systems is that they can be shared by the whole family. The treatment heads are easily interchanged to provide different skincare and wellness solutions. Individual treatment heads may be purchased separately. The treatment heads can be easily cleaned between uses with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
ACNE SOLUTIONS
When can I expect to see results?When treating acne with the Tända Acne Solutions you may see results in as little as 24 hours.
Does the Tända Acne Solution prevent breakouts from occurring?Yes! The Tända Acne Solution uses blue LED light that is scientifically proven to kill P.acnes bacteria, treating existing blemishes and preventing further outbreaks. If you use it as part of your daily skincare routine, you can prevent your breakouts from ever happening.
What should I expect to feel or see after using the Tända Acne Solution?During treatment you will feel a warm sensation on the skin that some people have described as calming. Many people experience a decrease pain and in blemish size immediately. After 1 week of treatment, most users will start to see a decrease in the number of blemishes. The majority will also see a reduction in redness and skin oiliness, and will begin to see an overall improvement in skin condition. After 2 weeks of treatment, the number of acne lesions continues to decrease and overall skin condition improves as the skin clears.
Note: Actual clearance time varies by individual depending upon skin type and the severity of the breakout.
No, the surface area of the Tända Prestige light therapy treatment head is 2.59in² /16.7cm² and the Tända Professional light therapy treatment head is 3.18in² /20.5cm², so it can be used to treat several acne affected areas at once. The larger treatment surface also helps to prevent further breakouts in the surrounding area.
ANTI-AGING SOLUTIONS
When can I expect to see results?When treating the signs of aging with the Tända Anti-Aging Solution, results can be seen after 30 days of consistent use.
What should I expect to feel or see after using the Tända Anti-Aging Solution?During treatment, you will feel a warm sensation on the skin that some people have described as relaxing. Many people experience an increase in hydration and skin comfort immediately.
After 1 week of treatment, most people will start to see an improvement in skin texture while the majority of users will see an increase in the healthy feel of their skin and an increase in skin smoothness.
After 2 weeks of treatment, a vast majority of users will see an increase in their skin's softness and smoothness, an overall increase in firmness and plumpness, and most people find that their skin has an overall healthy glow.
After 4 weeks of treatments, you will see overall better skin condition compared to before treatment with Tända Regenerate. This includes an improvement in the healthy appearance of the skin and a reduction in the appearance in fine lines.
PAIN SOLUTIONS
When can I expect to see results?You may experience a reduction in pain, swelling and edema(bruising) immediately. After 30 minutes you may also experience extended range of motion, higher levels of pain control and relaxation in muscles and joints.
Can the Tända Pain Solution be used over the spine?Yes, it is safe to use light therapy directly over the spine, the back of the neck and over nerves
Can I use the Tända Pain Solution over pins in joints and other body parts?Yes! There are no known side affects to using infrared light therapy over pins or knee and hip replacements.
Can the Tända Pain Solution be used on acute injuries?Yes, this is an important advantage of using light therapy over other types of treatments. Acute injuries have been shown to heal 40% faster when treated appropriately with light therapy. Although there is often a dramatic reduction in pain and swelling within just a few sessions, sufficient time is still required for complete tissue repair. Be cautious not to return prematurely to activities. Working closely with your health professional will get you back in action faster.
Can I use the Tända Pain Solution to prevent injuries?Yes. Preliminary research suggests that preventive light therapy treatment (i.e. treatment before training or competition) has been useful in averting injury or decreasing healing time if injured.
Is light therapy a possible alternative to drugs or surgery for pain management?Yes. For some conditions this innovative technology can eliminate the need for painful, debilitating surgeries and drug therapies that are often accompanied by harmful side effects. Light therapy can be used as an exclusive treatment solution or can be used in combination with other methods provided by your practitioner.
Why can't I see that all the LEDs are on with the Tända Professional Restore Light Therapy Treatment Heads?Infrared light (the light emitted by Tända Professional Restore) is not visible to the naked eye. There are three additional red LEDs which illuminate when the treatment head is in operation. As long as these 3 LEDs are illuminated, your device is functioning correctly.(Note : do not look directly into the Tända Professional Restore treatment head).
